Hydrogen and sustainable mobility

If I told you that to watch a film you just need to collect water, would you believe me? You are at home; it is a sunny day outside and you want to go out for a walk. Imagine taking water, inserting it into a special device and leaving the house, when you come back you watch a film: imagine that all this did not lead to CO2 emissions. Does it look like a future movie? No, it is actuality. All this is possible nowadays, thanks to the hydrogen plant.

In 2021 one of the main topics in terms of recovery was the PNRR, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. Among the issues that emerged in order to reach the Net Zero Emission goal is hydrogen, in particular in M2C2 – RENEWABLE ENERGY, HYDROGEN, NETWORK AND SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY, and Graded has decided to join the challenge that will bring this technology to be a primary point for a green future. Our Company’s first investment about hydrogen is in the Green Farm project. The selected plant is a cogeneration system consisting of three basic elements: electrolyser, storage system and fuel cell. The electrolyser requires electricity to be able to split the water molecule into hydrogen and oxygen, and this electricity is supplied during the hours of greatest production by the photovoltaic system already installed on site. The hydrogen thus produced will be stored in special tanks, to then be converted back into electrical (and thermal) energy in the fuel cell, when the solar source is not available.
